“Mmm”
I nodded, holding my head high. Marcus stood up, looking at the men who had been restraining me, and coldly commanded,
“Let go, now?”
The men, looking at Marcus, flinched and immediately released me.
A flicker of panic crossed Victor Sterling’s face, but he quickly regained his composure, his expression so dark it could drip ink.
“Who gave you the guts to cause trouble in The Onyx Club?! Gather everyone! Detain all of them!”
Jessica was about to pull out her phone to call for backup, but I simply sneered,
“My people are already inside. Do you think you still have anyone left?”
Victor Sterling looked back to see that the large contingent of bodyguards who had been guarding the club’s entrance were nowhere to be found. His face flushed with anger.
“Who exactly are you? Do you know that everyone in this club is someone you can’t afford to offend?”
Marcus scoffed, raising his eyes to Victor Sterling, his dark pupils seemingly seeing through Victor’s bluster.
“Victor Sterling, how dare you utter those words? You were nothing more than a dog at the previous Ms. Hayes‘ father’s side. Oh, no, dogs are more loyal than you. At least a dog wouldn’t stand by and let the Second Young Miss be humiliated for no reason!”
Victor Sterling’s face drastically changed. He scrutinized me again, his pupils contracting sharply.
“You… Are you really Seraphina Hayes?”
I chuckled softly, my gaze coldly sweeping over the men who had touched me earlier. Then, I commanded in a low voice,
“Take them all down!”
The bodyguards, receiving their orders, surged forward. Some men tried to resist, but their paltry skills were no match for my meticulously trained bodyguards; they were subdued in a few swift moves.
They were slammed hard onto the ground, their eyes glaring at me with resentment.
“Do you know who we are? How dare you treat us like this?”
Julian Thorne also stepped forward, yelling at Lily,
“These are all prominent figures in this city! Quickly tell your ‘sister‘ to stop!”
Lily simply held my arm, as if she had found her anchor, and sneered at Julian Thorne,
“Prominent figures? Why don’t you ask Mr. Sterling, who you were just bowing and scraping to, exactly who my sister
is?”
Victor Sterling watched my decisive and ruthless actions, so utterly like the past Seraphina, shaking his head repeatedly.

repeatedly.
“Impossible, I saw you crash. How could you…”
I sat in the center of the club, propping my chin with my hand as I observed my father’s former subordinate.
In just three years, he had shed the naivety of his early days in business. Now, he wore a sharp suit, smooth and diplomatic, truly giving off the illusion of a powerful figure.
What a pity. A dog remains a dog.
The plane crash three years ago was merely my escape plan. There was no one on that private plane, but he believed it to be true.
After my father passed away, I trusted him as a confidant and personally instructed him to take good care of my only sister.
But what about him? He truly thought I was dead and became reckless!
I chuckled softly, walking towards Victor Sterling. The sharp click of my heels echoed loudly in the silent club. The closer I got, the more rapid his breathing became.
“My apologies, you’re disappointed. I’m still alive.”
With that, I slapped him hard, putting every ounce of my strength into it, making his head snap to the side.
“My father personally promoted you. Without him, you would be nothing. Yet, you allowed lowlifes to humiliate my sister right under your nose, and just now, you even tried to kill me, hmm?”
