Chapter 9
Damien’s face turned pale as he rushed to the photo, trying to block the explicit image.
The guests whispered to each other.
It was already too late, the guests had already recognized the two main characters in the photo.
On the side, Dakota also stood there in a daze.
Damien’s blood rushed to his head, causing dizziness and blurred vision.
He took out his phone and dialed Norah’s number. “The number you have dialed is currently unavailable. Please try again later…”
Damien was completely panicked.
Will the welcome be arranged by Norah herself, so is this picture of him and Dakota also from Norah’s hand?
He couldn’t imagine Norah’s reaction after finding out about his relationship with Dakota and Tessa’s background.
The guests had shifted from whispering to speaking loudly, with their words becoming increasingly harsh.
“The Harvick family still has the nerve to claim they are a family of scholars, yet their son played around so much within his marriage.”
“I had mentioned before that Damien and his wife were young, so why did they choose to adopt an orphan? It turns out that the orphan is Damien’s illegitimate daughter.”
“The legitimate Mrs. Harvick was not present, presumably having left the Harvick family mess after learning the truth.”
Damien’s mother’s vision went black, and she almost fainted.
Dakota acted quickly to catch her, “Auntie, are you okay?”
Damien’s mother caught her breath and glared at her fiercely.
“You harlot, you were trying to ruin my son, ruin the Harvick family!”
Dakota was pushed forcefully and stumbled into a giant cake.
Six–year–old Tessa was scared by the sudden turn of events and burst into.
tears.
At one point, the scene was extremely chaotic.
The paparazzi mixed in with the guests took the opportunity to press the shutter, feeling pleased with themselves for the exclusive hot search that was about to come.
The originally lively and festive banquet ended abruptly with Damien going crazy, cursing and driving away the guests.
Although the Harvick family immediately tried to block the news, a large amount of photos and videos from the scene still leaked out.
That evening, the top three hot searches were all about scandals involving the Harvick family.
The current president of the Harvick Group, Damien, had an extramarital affair and is suspected of fathering a love child.
The welcoming party for the adopted daughter turned into a large–scale battlefield, with many scandals in the wealthy family.
According to reliable sources, Damien’s original wife Norah has left New York and there is no news at the moment.
When Stephen casually recited these few entries, Norah sat beside him.
“Tsk. I thought the Harvick family was more capable, but it turns out they are just like this.”
“Dare I ask, Ms. Xander, how did you come to be interested in that wild. child from the Harvick family?”
Norah didn’t want to pay attention to Stephen’s teasing. After all, it was she who had broken off the engagement first, feeling guilty.
Stephen was too harsh and unforgiving.
Norah rolled down the car window. “If Mr. Zorlock was just here to make fun of me, I’ll leave immediately. It’s as if I never called you.”
He opened the car door as he spoke.
Stephen suddenly bent down and pulled Norah into his arms, and the car door was closed in one smooth motion
“Ms. Xander’s patience with me was really limited.”
She looked up at his profile, his straight nose and handsome jawline.
Different from Damien’s typical handsome features, Stephen’s face had a somewhat androgynous charm.
Stephen’s breath lingered around her ear, causing her to shiver.
The red marriage certificate was handed to Norah, and she couldn’t help but laugh self–deprecatingly, “So this is what it feels like.”
The wedding was scheduled for early next month at the largest hotel in

Chicago.
Norah was initially reluctant to be too ostentatious.
Stephen, however, said the more flamboyant the better, “Only in this way can we surpass idle gossip.”
Norah lowered her gaze, she had no hope for this political marriage.
It was just a matter of treating each other with respect, chatting about this life, that’s all.
But it seems that Stephen did not think so.
He immediately posted his first Moments post in his life: “A married.
man.”
The picture is a marriage certificate.
Thousands of likes and hundreds of comments in an instant.
“Turns out Mr. Zorlock is not averse to women after all, which fairy is so lucky?”
“Did the Prince of Chicago have a flash marriage?”
“When did Mr. Zorlock introduce his sister–in–law to us?”
Stephen raised his eyebrows, unable to hide his joy.
He replied to the comments one by one.
“It’s not that she’s lucky, it’s that I’m lucky to have her again.”
“The wedding invitations have already been sent out, come and see my bride on the day.”
