Chapter 19
“Less than 50% indeed.”
The lawyer’s voice shifted the fierce atmosphere in the meeting room.
“Mrs. Mueller has transferred half of her shares to Ms. Mueller. And it’s been valid since yesterday. So, the votes are less than a half.”
“Impossible!”
Waylon got all mad and yelled at Natasha, “Brenton said Mariana couldn’t join the company! This is the Muellers‘ asset! We can’t let you take it all!”
“The Mueller Group was established by my father. He let you work here because you’re his brother. Now that my father is gone, according to the law, the Mueller Group belongs to me and my mother. Uncle Waylon, you’d better not get it wrong!” Mariana stood straight up and refuted.
She turned around and looked at the crowd, saying, “Today, the meeting is about how to eliminate the loss of the Perfume Department. You’d better not get side–tracked!”
Those who supported Natasha also chimed up and circled back to the topic.
Waylon talked with his men. After making sure that Mariana had really joined the board of directors, he loosened his tie and slumped back in his chair.
“It took me a lot of time and effort to come up with this proposal. I’ve also asked a professional to review the project’s feasibility. It’s because the women’s fragrance market is oversaturated–that’s precisely why we need to

pivot. This men’s cologne represents our breakthrough opportunity to push beyond conventional boundaries.,” Mariana said firmly.
“Do you know what an outlet is and what a dead end is?”
Waylon sneered and insisted, “Putting others aside, in terms of spokesperson, if you want to develop a type of new women’s perfume, I can ask Sandra to help endorse it, but it’s the men’s perfume. Who are you gonna hire?”
“Don’t.”
Mariana waved her hand and interrupted, “I don’t need her to endorse it.”
Sandra’s persona would be ruined right away. By then, the projects she endorsed would be messed up one by one.
“Exactly.”
As the door opened, Sandra took off her sunglasses and walked inside. “My endorsement price is too high for the Mueller Group now.”
Waylon and Sandra exchanged glances. Waylon hastened to say, “Sandra, I know our perfume isn’t worthy of your popularity now, but after all, you’re our family. Can’t you give a discount?”
“I was just kidding with you.”
Sandra pulled the chair and sat down, saying, “We’re family. We can talk this out.”
Waylon raised his head proudly. “Listen to that. My daughter is generous! Mariana, Sandra is willing to endorse our women’s perfume at a low cost. Why do you have to work on the men’s perfume? Who can you hire for the endorsement?”
Mariana watched as they acted, and sneered disdainfully, “I can definitely

hire a male star more popular with Sandra. Just don’t worry about it.”
“Come on, stop bragging. Given our budget, who can you hire? Sandra is willing to give us a discount. Can others do it? A Z–list celebrity for endorsement is definitely out of the question! That would utterly compromise our brand credibility,” Waylon said with a grimaced face.
“Is Kamron a Z–list actor?” Mariana asked with composure.
Kamron?
”
The directors present all started to murmur.
Kamron was a superstar. His endorsement charge could be a sky–high price!
Among the suspicious voices, Waylon stroked his hair and said, “Mariana, come off it! You’d only make a fool of yourself!”

Mariana took a glance at her phone and smiled with satisfaction. She raised her head and said, “Logan, please help go and take someone in here for me. Also, print out the endorsement contract I drafted in duplicate. Thank you.”
Waylon pursed his lips and gnashed his teeth, saying indignantly, “Don’t keep things in suspense. No way can you get Kamron as our spokesperson! I must see what kind of star you can have!”
