Chapter 10

I had originally decided to ignore them completely, but I never expected they would meet such a tragic end.
The next day, once again roused by Lily’s loud calls, we arrived at my parents‘ house.
As soon as I stepped through the courtyard gate, I saw three bodies lying in the living room, with Isabella standing beside them, laughing maniacally.
“They’re all dead. All dead. Haha…
“They said they loved me most, that they’d make me happy. All lies!
“Since that’s how it is, you can all just die.”
It turned out Isabella had long been unable to endure life with the Wilson family. She had repeatedly asked for a divorce, but Robert and Carol firmly opposed it, constantly urging her instead: “Just have a child quickly, and the Wilson family will value you!”
But they didn’t know that Isabella was the one who couldn’t
conceive.
So whether Isabella married Vincent in her previous life or Frank in this one, she would never be able to have children and

could only endure continuous torment.
She had originally sustained herself with the lie my parents fed her- that “Eleanor is suffering just as much on the island.”
But yesterday, when we appeared in our new car, it completely shattered her last pillar of mental support.
Worse still, after returning to my parents‘ house, Isabella received no comfort.
When Frank beat her again, Robert and Carol watched coldly from the sidelines.
“We shouldn’t have pinned our hopes on you!” Carol wailed.
“We’ve been counting on you to make us rich since our past life, but you’ve never succeeded! If we’d known you were this useless, we should have treated Eleanor better from the start–maybe we’d be happy now!”
After saying this, they actually ignored Isabella, who lay battered and bruised on the ground, and simply walked away.
They therefore didn’t see the malicious look in Isabella’s eyes.
That night, she poured poison into the well.
Watching Robert, Carol, and Frank convulse and collapse after drinking the well water, Isabella’s maniacal laughter woke the

entire street’s neighbors.
Looking at the scene before me, I felt deeply satisfied.
They deserved it.

The biased Carol and Robert, after their dreams of wealth were shattered, ultimately died at the hands of their most beloved daughter.
But God is fair.
All of this no longer concerns me.
All the grudges and grievances between us have vanished with their burial.
I paid no attention to the mentally deranged Isabella, nor did I care what revenge she might exact on the Wilson family. Vincent and I returned to Pearl Harbor base.
Here there’s the azure sea, sweet coconuts, and the rubber plantation I manage.
The past is like smoke.
Our future life will only get better and better.
