After Mark was discharged, he came to find me. His tidy hair was a mess, his shirt wrinkled, and his face unshaven.
I was caught off guard. It hadn’t even been that long, yet he already
looked so worn out.

a mistake. Don’t leave me.”
I felt nothing but irritation.
“You don’t have to sign. I’ve already prepared everything I need to kick you out. I’ve also completed the paperwork to leave America. Our relationship ends here.”
Mark dropped to his knees, crying heartbrokenly.
“For the sake of our marriage, don’t be so heartless. Flynn has kicked me out of the company. I have nothing left without you.
I shoved him aside, completely disgusted.
Soon, I handed Flynn every video I had.
“I’ve already taken over Mark’s assets. Now I’m just waiting for the court to finalize the divorce. What you do with the videos is up to you. I’m not getting involved.”
Flynn raised his head and said, “You’re free to leave America. Go live the life you want.”

The day before I left, Sophie showed up.
“Why are videos of me and Mark all over the internet? Did you do that?”
“You’ve got it wrong. I only gave them to Flynn. If they went public, you should ask your husband about that.”
Sophie stared at me blankly. “There’s no way. Why would he expose them?”
I didn’t feel like dealing with any more drama. I removed my phone card and completely cut ties with that mess.

Later, while I was relaxing by the ocean and feeling the sea breeze, my lawyer called to say the divorce had gone through.
Flynn had also divorced Sophie. She was attacked online until she had a breakdown and vanished.
Looking at the stunning sunset and the peaceful bay, I smiled and asked the waiter for another bottle of champagne.
