“Who are you? You can’t just take a patient away!“}
The nurse couldn’t stop Jasper Ford. The tall man’s gaze turned dark and cold.
“Get out of my way! You’re not qualified to stop me. You should worry more about the police coming after you!”
Several officers rushed in right after, holding the nurse down.
“You’re suspected of illegal medical conduct. Come with us.”
It wasn’t until I was in Jasper’s car, curled in his arms, that I stopped shaking.
“Jasper, is it really you? Am I already dead?”
He shoved his hand into my mouth. I bit down hard, tasting blood. Only then did I realize that I’d been saved.
“Doctor, I’m also type B. Take it from me instead. I’m fine.”
In a daze, I curled into Jasper’s chest.
When I opened my eyes again, I was lying in a hospital bed.
Jasper, pale and exhausted, was beside me, holding my hand tight. Our fingers were locked together.
As soon as I moved, he stirred awake too.

“They worked on you for three hours last night. You scared me to death.”

After the Bellamy Family’s nanny switched my identity, I was mistakenly sent to an orphanage.
