Yesterday, my parents and brother were
warning me about Bethany.
But now, overnight, they were acting like this?

My parents and brother were supposed to be
protecting me. How did they fall for it in just
one night?
I screamed at Bethany, “What did you do to
my parents and brother?”

Don’t listen to her!”
My parents looked at me with even more
disgust. “Don’t you dare yell at your cousin
like that!”
“We spoiled you rotten. It’s time to teach you
a lesson. From now on, you’ll do everything.
Bethany says, or we’re disowning you!”
Before I could say anything, my brother
grabbed me and forced me to eat the food
off the floor. He started yelling, “You dare

My parents and brother didn’t react to any of
this. They just kept praising Bethany,

After that, Bethany grabbed my phone and
called all my friends.
Soon, my friends walked through the door
and stopped in their tracks when they saw me
with the leash around my neck.
I started screaming, “Run! Call the cops!”
Before they could react, Bethany grinned and
handed them a friendship bracelet.
Instantly, my friends‘ expressions changed.
They looked at me with disgust and started
yelling.
“Riley, Bethany’s so good to you. How could
you call the cops?”
“You’re so lazy and rude. You need to be
taught a lesson. Bethany’s just trying to help
you.”
“You’re so ungrateful!
Seeing them defend Bethany, I completely
lost hope.
This was just like last time.
I thought I could change things, but I was
wrong.
Just then, I heard police sirens outside.
Bethany frowned and went to the door.
Soon, she came back with a few cops,
smiling.
And she was holding hands with a man,
looking at me with a triumphant smirk.
It was my fiancé, Chad!
