Clayton et sour taste in his throat and a chuming in his stomach, on the verge of vomiting. He was soothing with anger.

“With your body?” he added inwardly. Clayton couldn’t bring himself to say it. He felt a pain in his chest that made it hard to breathe.

A flicker of mockery crossed Malcolm’s eyes, which Clayton caught. His pupils suddenly narrowed. “Malcolm, you knew all along, didn’t you? You knew Audrey had a lover. Did she marry me in a hurry to hide something?”
“Mr. Patel, please watch your words. If you do that again, I will pursue defamation charges against you.” Malcolm said

Malcolm indifferently handed over a piece of paper with the calculated compensation amount. “Mr. Patel, how do you plan to make the payment?”
Clayton clenched his fist and slammed it onto the hood of the car. The remnants of his vomit splattered onto him, making him feet even more nauseous.
In the end, he reluctantly transferred the compensation to Audrey’s account and showed the screenshot to Malcolm

Since he couldn’t touch the high–end Land Rover, he had to sacrifice Jade’s car. He scraped one side of the car against the pillar as he drove out, leaving an even deeper mark.
Jade drove Clayton’s car to the law firm, while Clayton took Jade’s car to the repair shop. After arriving at the repair shop, he wearily sat in a chair.
“I’m sorry, Clayton, I–Valérie began.
“Enough,” Clayton said imitably, pinching the bridge of his nose. He could already guess what she was about to say–she had caused trouble again.
valerie, with red eyes and biting her lip, continued when Clayton didn’t respond, “After I got into the garage, I finally found a parking spot.
“A car behind me honked, and I panicked, thinking I’d lose the spot. I crashed into the pillar. I didn’t expect the driver to be Paul,”
Clayton’s eyes snapped open, bloodshot with anger. “Then why did you lie to Paul? What started as a simple scrape turned into a complete disaster for the firm’s reputation because of your lies.”
Valene’s voice was low, but there was a hint of defiance. “You also slandered Jade with me, didn’t you?”
