4:25 pm DDDD.
Nathan hated his guts,calling him a schemer with no integrity. That made me stay away from
him.
However,l never dreamed he would be the one who saved me today.
“Are you awake?“Collins’eyes snapped open,clear and alert. Obviously, he had not really slept,just resting his eyes.
It appeared I was the one who had been looking at him.I blushed and hurriedly looked away,“Thank you…for saving me last night.”
He lazily stretched, casually ruffled his messy hair and a small smile appeared on his face.“Sounded like you’re sorry I saved you.”
“No.“I shook my head and whispered,” Just…Thank you.”
He casually leaned back in his chair. Surprisingly,the light and shadows twirling on his face made him look young..
To break the awkward silence,I tried to praise him.,“You look like a college student in homewear.”
Collins stopped a while,smirked, moved closer to me and deliberately lengthened his tone, “Sister?”
I was dumbfounded,humiliated and mad while cursing him in my heart. True to his name,Collins was as famous as rumor said. He was known for flirting with any women he saw.
He smiled more happily. After his smile disappeared,he changed the subject.“I discovered that the man last night was targeting Nathan.”
I froze.”You mean…that guy was after Nathan?Why?”
“Do you remember what happened three years ago? Nathan was drugged and ended up in a scandal with that woman,Alicia?”
I nodded slowly.
“That was his doing,“Collins said,a voice suddenly cold.“This time,he just repeated the same trick.”
“Then…last night…“I said with difficulty.“How did the drug get neutralized?”
