After finishing the passage, Hendrik looked at me with a smile

I smiled and held Hendrik’s large hand.
“Never again. By the way, about your proposal just now I accept. But… don’t forget to give me a proper, grand proposal ceremony!”
“As you wish, my darling!”
The police arrived quickly, cleaning up the mess on the spot. They took Dashiell and his mother away, while an ambulance came to transport the bloodled Vivienne to the hospital.
All the facts were clear, and the evidence chain was complete, I ended up fighting two legal battles with Dashiell.
One was a divorce property dispute. The court, taking into account my absolute contribution to our business venture and Dashiell’s misconduct during our marriage, ruled that Dashlell would leave with nothing but the clothes on his back. million dollars, an enormous sum he couldn’t repay, and all his personal assets were confiscated.
On
the day the verdict was announced, Mabel suffered a heart attack and died right outside the courthouse. With Dashiell being her only son and now Imprisoned, I took care of her funeral arrangements out of respect for my eight–year relationship with him.
Vivienne not only miscarried but also lost her ability to bear children. Tragically, she died a brutal death on the streets a week later. I suspect it was karma catching up with her for all the people she had deceived in the past. A month later, Hendrik threw me an extravagant and grand proposal ceremony. He was so eager that he combined the proposal with the wedding.
I officially became the young Mrs. Grey. The Frost Family, which I had originally co–founded with Dashiell, was renamed Huntington Corporation and merged into the Gu Group under my management On their wedding night, I draped my arms around Hendrik’s neck and asked him why he chose to marry me a girl from a humble background with no family connections or social standing – instead of the many wealthy, high–born ladies who surrounded him.

Hendrik was surprisingly candid. He explained that having grown up in high society, he was all too aware of how unsavory the private lives of those so–called “elite” women could be. Not to mention how empty–headed and dull they were as Individuals. He had no desire to spend his life with such people.

Not to mention that after graduation, when I started a business with Dashiell, he knew he wasn’t as capable. In fact, Staying with me through thick and thin was just his way of exploiting my abilities to secure his position in the
company, only to kick me out later.
And I remained foolishly oblivious to it all. Despite being abroad all these years, he’s been having his friends back home keep tabs on me.
Even in the early days when my company was first established, he secretly pulled some strings to help me land several big deals, which played a crucial role in getting Frost Family up and running
Hearing so much information I didn’t know from Hendrik’s mouth for the first time, I was moved to tears and took the initiative to kiss Hendrik’s lips.
I finally understood what true love is – it’s the realization that you’d rather suffer yourself to make your loved one happy.
