Tristan’s gaze drifted down to the slight swell of Diana’s belly.
“Move out,” he said coldly. “After the child is born, everything will be settled.”}
Tears welled in Diana’s eyes.
“What do you mean?” she cried. “Tristan, are you abandoning me again?“}]
“Are you even a man? You’re the one who came to me. You made me the mistress who tore your marriage apart. You’re the one who allowed me to do whatever I wanted–even trample over your wife!“}
“It was you who killed her! A hundred times over!“}
A crack finally appeared on Tristan’s frozen expression.
“Shut up,” he said sharply.”
“How I deal with things is not for you to judge.“}
He turned away, voice steely.
“Take her away,” he ordered the butler.
And then, just as coldly, he tried to reset everything–as if I had never left.}
He called my number again and again. Questioned everyone who might have known something.”
But no news ever came.}]
So he went to search for me himself.”
When I wasn’t in the city, he looked abroad.§
He visited remote towns in distant countries, carrying my photo, showing it to strangers.}
Dozens of women looked like me.§
None of them were me.§
Hope rose and fell, over and over.
Until there was nothing left.
A year later, on a quiet night, he found himself drunk and passed out in front of a mountain.>
A kind old man took him in.
Performed a pray.”
And that night, Tristan had a rare dream.§
A dream of me.
I was startled.
I had been peacefully living in the upper realm–when suddenly, I was pulled into a mortal’s dream.
Everything was quiet, unnaturally so.§
The space was decorated in a way that felt strangely familiar, though I couldn’t place it.§
And then, without warning, arms wrapped around me from behind.
A man’s hoarse voice–thick with alcohol and desperation–breathed against my neck like a final confession.} “Winda… I finally found you…“)
I quickly broke free from his embrace.
“I’m sorry… You are…?“!
Maybe he was someone I had known, before I ascended.§
But when one enters the heavens, all ties to the mortal world are severed–including memories.
His body stiffened. His expression crumpled like he’d been struck.
“You don’t remember me,” he said, voice shaking.”
“Or maybe… you just haven’t forgiven me.“>
He didn’t wait for my response.}
“I understand. This isn’t enough. I shouldn’t have come so half–heartedly.“@
And just like that, the dream ended.”
I returned to the skies.
When Tristan woke up, he grabbed the master in a panic, begging for answers.”
After much meditation, the master gave his judgment.”
The bond between us ran deep.
So deep, that when death approached, he could see me in dreams.
Something in him shifted then.W
The next time I saw him–he was dying.”
“After Killing Me Minety Nine Times For His First Love He Depented &
10:34 AM
He lay on the ground, choking on water, looking like he had drowned.
Yet when he saw me, his eyes lit up with joy.
“Winda you’re here.“%
“This is just the beginning,” he gasped.
“When I’ve retraced your every step… you’ll forgive me.”%
I didn’t understand.
Nor did I want to meddle in the affairs of mortals.
So I stood still. Silent. Letting him speak.
Maybe there had been something between us once.
But it was all in the past now.”
The third time, he was lying in the snow, bare–chested, his skin turning purple from the cold.”
“Were you this cold… back then?” he asked, teeth chattering.2
“Maybe,” I answered simply.
But he smiled. With the last of his strength, he smiled.
Even one word from me was enough.?
It meant, to him, that he was on the right path.
That suffering would earn my forgiveness.
That this pain was his redemption.
Then came the fourth time.}
And the fifth.%
Ten times. Twenty.
There were dog bites.
Car accidents.
He was relentless.
Punishing himself for every scar he thought he’d left on me.
