other times she regained her arrogance. She claimed that the Don of the mafia would protect her.
This roused the disgust of her fellow prisoners, and they often abused her when the prison warden wasn’t around.
Rosie rotted away in prison day by day.
When it was time for the death sentence to be carried out, Rosie was finally set free.
Everything had ended.
Silas brought my ashes to the sea.
Silas and I had once talked about death. I had said that I hoped that my ashes could be scattered in the sea after I died, so that I
could always be a free person.
Luckily, Silas still remembered my wish.
Silas scattered my ashes into the sea, and as they drifted into the depths of the sea, I felt my soul becoming lighter and lighter.
I knew that I was about to leave.
Suddenly, there was a yell behind me. “Silas!”
Jasper was stumbling toward me, his eyes red.
“What did you do? Did you scatter Amara’s ashes into the sea? Did you?”
Jasper was even thinner and weaker than he had been the last time I had seen him. He clearly did not have any energy.
Silas punched Jasper and knocked him to the ground. “So what if I did? That was Amara’s dying wish! Compared to staying with you, Amara wants freedom more!”
Jasper knelt on the ground and began sobbing brokenly. He looked as if he had lost a great treasure.
I snorted. For some reason, I found it very funny.
However, Jasper and Silas actually turned to look in my direction

In my final moments, they had seen my soul!
“Amara, is it you? Don’t go, please don’t go! I love you!”
My body was becoming lighter and lighter.
“You love me? If you loved me, how could you help Rosie in her evil acts and allow her to slander me?
“You loved me, but you didn’t believe anything that I said, and indirectly caused my death.
“You loved me, but you accompanied another woman to try on wedding dresses and married her.
“Jasper, your love is worth too little. I don’t want it anymore.”
In the end, I gave Silas a deep look and thanked him. Silas was a strong man, but he was weeping bitterly.

Jasper had completely broken down. He could not accept the reality of losing me. He ran after my soul, and he waded deeper and
deeper into the sea.
When Jasper was about to drown, Silas could no longer stand by and watch. He still had a sense of justice as a policeman, as well as a sense of responsibility. Therefore, he cursed as he dragged the half–dead Jasper out.
Silas punched him aggressively twice.
The farce was over, and it was time for me to leave.
I was going to run toward the freedom that belonged to me.
A month after Amara left, Jasper was still numbing himself with alcohol every single day. He had completely abandoned the
affairs of the mafia.
The underboss and Antonio joined forces to usurp his authority.
One night, when he was dead drunk yet again, Jasper passed an alley and bumped into a few young people. They mugged him.
Everything he owned that was worth anything was taken. He only held my photo tightly against his chest.
The young men thought that it was a precious piece of jewelry, and they became greedy. They stabbed him several times.
The Don, who had once ruled over the mafia, ended up dying in an unknown corner, all for a photo.
