“Wait, Mr. Pena, you can’t go in yet!” a nurse called out, rushing to stop him, but Sebastian pushed past them, storming inside.
He staggered to the hospital bed and, with trembling hands, lifted the white sheet covering the face beneath it.
He froze. “This… isn’t Sienna,” he said in shock.
One of the nurses who had run in behind him blushed bright red and quickly explained, “This woman just happened to have the
same last name as Ms. Rowse. She also came in to donate blood today.
“With the news about Ms. Brown’s accident spreading around the area, a lot of people came forward to donate. It’s not unusual
for someone with the same last name to show up by coincidence.”
Sebastian stood there stunned for a moment before carefully lowering the sheet back down.
“I’m sorry. I acted out of impulse and caused trouble for you,” he said quietly.
After being ushered out of the room, Sebastian’s secretary wiped the sweat from his forehead awkwardly.
“I’m so sorry, Mr. Pena. I was too panicked… I didn’t even double–check the name properly before coming to tell you.”
“It’s fine. Just be more careful next time,” Sebastian said.
He let out a subtle breath of relief and discreetly wiped the cold sweat from his palm.
Thank God. It was just a misunderstanding.
The secretary quickly added, “I just checked. Mr. Rowse only went home a little while ago.”
Sebastian let out a low hum of acknowledgment and immediately rushed toward home.
As soon as he stepped inside and saw his parents‘ anxious faces, his heart dropped.

June spoke, her voice dripping with sadness. “Sia came home and collapsed onto her bed. She’s been unconscious ever since. No
matter how much we call her name, she won’t wake up.‘
Sebastian’s mind went blank, buzzing with panic. His first thought was that I had fainted from donating too much blood.
But things seemed more complicated now. He didn’t have time to explain, he just sprinted toward my room.
Standing at my bedside, he saw my pale, bloodless face and was overwhelmed with fear.
He couldn’t help but remember the things I had said before I collapsed. How my words had sounded half like a confession and
half like a final goodbye.
His heart twisted painfully.
The truth was, he had never really hated me that much.
It was the resentment of being forced down a path he hadn’t chosen and into a marriage he hadn’t wanted that had made him
lash out at me.
But now he understood. He wasn’t going to keep hurting me over his useless rebellion. Not anymore.
Looking down at my fragile, unconscious face, Sebastian made a silent vow. When I woke up, he would apologize to me properly.
When Sebastian came out of the room, June had already wiped away her tears.
Callum cleared his throat awkwardly and asked, “We heard Gillian was in a car accident. What exactly happened?”
At those words, Sebastian’s brow furrowed, a hint of anger creeping into his voice.
“After Sienna complained to you two, you called Gillian and gave her a hard time. Because of that, she was distracted crossing the
street, and that’s how the accident happened.”
Upon hearing this, June let out a cold laugh.
“That little witch really knows how to twist things, doesn’t she? I knew she was up to no good. Good thing I was careful and kept a
backup.”
As she spoke, Mrs. Pena tapped on her phone and began to play a recording.
