Trina’s eyes filled with tears as a sharply dressed man stepped out of the Ferrari. “Thank God, Trina, you’ve finally seen senseť” he said, striding toward her
She nodded, unable to find her voice, as her brother, Trunun Gross, gently took her hand. “Let’s go home,” he murmured, leading her to the car.
Twenty minutes later, Trina stood in front of the grand castle she’d called home for the past 20 years. After three long years, she was finally back.
As they got out of the car, over a hundred uniformed maids lined the driveway, bowing deeply in perfect
et unison. “Welcome home, Miss Cross
they chimed in unison, their voices a hammonious chorus..
Before Trina could take a breath, her mother, Helen Gross, rushed out, stunning in a white dress embroidered with pink roses.
She wrapped Trina in a tight embrace. “My darling girl, you’ve finally back!” she exclaimed, her voice trembling with emotion.
Trina hugged her mother fiercely, fighting back tears. “Mom, I’m so sorry. I was such a fool,” she whispered, her shoulders shaking slightly.
Trina had been the little princess of the Gross family, one of the wealthiest in Macnon. Ignoring her family’s wishes, she had insisted on marrying Cynl three years ago, thinking in would lead to happiness. Instead, it brought nothing but pain and heartache.
There, there.” Helen comforted, rubbing her back. “You’re home now. That’s all that matters.”
Her father, Esmond Gross, discreetly wiping away his own tears, led them inside. The lavish interior sparkled under crystal chandeliers, with valuable oil paintings adorning the hallways.
As Trina recounted her ordeals, Helen’s eyes glistened with unshed tears of pain. “Oh, honey, you’ve been through so much. It breaks my heart she said, squeezing Trina’s hands.
Esmond’s face darkened. “Cyril’s crossed the liner he exclaimed, reaching for his phone. Tll make him regret
“No. please don’t. Trina cut in grabbing his arm.
Esmond paused, looking puzzled. “After all these, you can’t still have feelings for him, can you?” he asked, his voice laced with concem.
Trina gave a weak smile. “Of course not. I woke up from my romantic delusions on the way home,” she explained. “But Cyril saved my life five years ago. That’s why I fell for him originally.” She sighed, her eyes distant. “It’s over now. I just want to move forward.”
After a moment. Esmand nodded reluctantly. “Alright. We’ll respect your decisions.”
“Cyril’s the idiot who couldn’t see how great you are, Traman said, pacing “We won’t let anyone treat you like that again, Trina
Helen wiped her eyes. “What about the baby?” she asked softly. “What are you thinking?”
Trina’s hand rested on her stomach, her expression softening. Tm keeping it,” he said firmly. The baby’s innocent, even if it won’t have a dad.”
“Who says the baby won’t lave a father?” Esmond interjected, his voice rising. “My precious daughter can have any man she wants! The world’s your oyster, boney.”
It wasn’t just talk. When Trina turned 18, guys from the best families had lined up at their door. But she’d daily had eyes for the one man who ended up breaking her bear
“I’m done with love,” Trina said with a small smile, shaking her head. “After this mess, I don’t think I could ever fall for someone again. I’m happy just bring with my family”
Truman clapped his hands, lightening the mood. “Enough with the sad stuff! Let’s all take a trip to Cornhout, he suggested cheerfully. “Some beach time will do you good. Trina”
Trina nodded, taking a deep breath. It was time to turn the page and stars fresh.
As right fell, Cyril returned home, loosening his tie “Trina“” he called out, but the house remained silent.
After a fruitless search, he summoned the butler. “Where’s Trina?” he asked sharply.
Mrs. Banks left for the hospital this morning and hasn’t returned, sir,” the butler replied politely.
Cynd frowned, his brow furrowed in co joem. It wasn’t like Trina to stay out late without a word.
Just then, a maid rushed in with an express delivery. “Mr. Banks, is just arrived for you
