like me an omega with no family, not even a wolf–wasn’t worthy of being his friend.
A week later, he found me at school. He wanted to thank me for saving him and invited me to dinner.
I declined–I had to rush to my part–time job. But he didn’t give up. Instead, he followed me to the café where I worked.
With a mischievous smile, he watched me and said, “I noticed you on the first day of school.”
He told me I was beautiful–but always quiet, always keeping my head down, barely speaking. He’d been curious about me ever since.
From that moment on, he became a constant presence in my life. He studied with me,

encouraged me to enter competitions, and slowly, under his guidance, I started to believe in myself.
By our second year of university, we became mates. He marked me.
But rumors spread quickly. People whispered that I had seduced Kaelen, that I was nothing more than a gold–digger.
Kaelen didn’t hesitate to step forward and clear things up. He was the one who pursued
- me.
Eventually, the gossip faded, but people still talked about us like we were some sort of ‘Prince and Cinderella‘ fairytale.
In our final year of university, his mother, Victoria, finally found out about our relationship. She cornered me at the café

and coldly ordered me to leave her son.
Kaelen didn’t hesitate. He stepped in front of me, shielding me from her wrath, and firmly took her away.
After that, he moved out of his family home and in with me. He even got a job, and we started splitting the rent.
I told him he shouldn’t be fighting with his family because of me–it wasn’t worth it.
He simply hugged me, his voice soft and full of conviction. “Without you, my life means. nothing.”
Some time later, his mother approached me again. This time, she asked if I had what it took to be the future Luna of the Silvermoon Crest Pack.

I wanted to prove myself. So, I joined their company, worked hard, and pushed myself to earn her respect.
Eventually, she stopped opposing us. Instead, she gifted us a villa near the university–a Pack House of our own.
“Dad supports you,” Lucian said, clapping me on the shoulder warmly. “If you work with us at the company, they’ll recognize you. You’re my heir. No one will dare look down on you.”
“Sel,” Elara added, her voice gentle, “Mom wants you to move to Golden Crescent Pack and live with us. Would you?”
I hesitated. “I need to talk to Kaelen first.”
Lucian smiled. “Alright, I’ll take you back.”
“It’s okay,” I said quickly. “I can just book a

flight. It’s only two hours.”
He waved a hand dismissively. “No need. We have a private jet.”
I wasn’t used to such luxury, but I decided to surprise Kaelen. I wanted to return home unannounced.
But the moment I stepped into our Pack House, exhausted from the journey, the world I knew shattered.
My best friend, Isolde Firefang, was curled up in Kaelen’s arms.
They were laughing, gazing at each other with unmistakable affection. Then, as if in slow motion, they fell onto the couch–lips crashing together in a heated, passionate kiss.
