Chapter 5
Rogelio Hoskins was shocked, his hand gripping the doorknob turning pale as he stood there like he’d been struck by lightning
“Rogelio, you’re standing in the doorway…”
Before Anastasia Katz could finish her sentence, she saw Cassius Draven standing opposite Rogelio.
She couldn’t help but frown, “What are you doing here?”
Cassius sneered, his gaze on her as cold as ice, “Am I interrupting something?”
Anastasia’s hand tightened around the towel she was using to dry her hair, but she quickly composed herself and said calmly, “You’ve seen the divorce papers. When are you free so we can finalize it?”
“Anastasia, I don’t agree to the divorce! Come back with me!”
As he spoke, Cassius reached out to grab her hand, but Rogelio snapped out of his daze and stepped in front of Anastasia.
Cassius looked at Rogelio coldly and said, “If you don’t want to be blacklisted, get out of my way!”
Rogelio faced him without a trace of fear. “Mr. Draven, blacklisting me isn’t that simple. Besides, it seems like Anastasia doesn’t want to go with you.”
Rogelio had built up quite a network in the entertainment industry over the years; a mere threat from Cassius wasn’t enough to bury his career.
A cold glint flashed in Cassius’s eyes as he pulled out his phone to make a call.
Just then, Anastasia, standing behind Rogelio, spoke up, “Cassius, don’t drag unrelated people into this. Let’s talk.”
Cassius put down his phone, his anger growing even more intense. He looked at her coldly and said, “Heartbroken already? I’ve been away from Grove City for just a month, and you’re already shacking up with another man. Good job!”

Anastasia ignored him and turned to Rogelio, “Rogelio, you should

in.”
Rogelio’s eyes showed some concern, but since they were husband and wife, he had no right to interfere.
“Alright, call my name if you need anything.”
After Rogelio left, Anastasia turned to Cassius, ready to speak, but Cassius grabbed her and started dragging her outside.
“What are you doing?!”
Anastasia was fuming. This jerk of a man–why had she been so blind as to marry him?
Cassius kept a cold face and didn’t say a word, shoving Anastasia into his car and getting in on the other side to start the engine.
He drove quickly, and in no time, they were halfway up the mountain. Anastasia gritted her teeth and glared at him.
“Let me out! Cassius, do you think this is funny?!”
“Seatbelt!” Cassius gripped the steering wheel tightly, veins bulging on his hands, showing just how angry he was!
Anastasia didn’t move, looking at him indifferently. “Cassius, when I said I wanted a divorce, it wasn’t out of anger or irrationality. I meant it.”
Screech–the black Maybach came to a sudden stop by the roadside. Due to the inertia, Anastasia’s head slammed into the windshield.
The sharp pain made her frown, and she gasped in pain.
Before she could recover, she heard Cassius sneer.
“You want to divorce me so you can be with that pretty boy? Forget it!”
Anastasia clutched her forehead, anger boiling inside her. “Cassius, are you insane? You like Adalyn Katz; I’m stepping aside willingly. What else do you want?”
Cassius’s expression was cold. “What does this have to do with Adalyn?”
Anastasia chuckled derisively, “How can it not? Are you saying she’s not the one in your

With her words hanging in the air, a silence fell between them.
After a long time, Cassius spoke coldly. “What right do your have to accuse me? At least I haven’t done anything to betray you. But you’re out here at night with another man’in his villa!”
“What’s betrayal to you then? Do I have to catch you in bed with someone else for it to count?”
“Anastasia!” Seeing the anger on his face, Anastasia suddenly calmed down, looked away. and said. “No matter what you say, I’m determined to get this divorce.”
“What if I don’t agree?!”
Anastasia felt frustrated, a cold irritation flashing in her eyes. She didn’t want to say another word to Cassius.
Noticing her different attitude towards him, Cassius frowned and was about to speak when his phone rang.
Seeing it was Adalyn, he glanced at Anastasia before answering.
“Adalyn, what’s wrong?”
“Mr. Cassius, the power’s out in the villa. I’m so scared… Can you come over and keep me company?”
Adalyn’s voice was trembling with a hint of sobbing.
She had been afraid of the dark since she was a child. She couldn’t even walk down dimly lit paths, and she always slept with the lights on. Being alone in a powerless villa must have been terrifying for her.
“Don’t be afraid. I’ll be right over. Nothing will happen to you!”
After hanging up, he saw Anastasia looking at him with a mocking expression. For once, Cassius explained, “The power’s out at the villa. I’m going to check on Adalyn. You can take a cab home.”
After a few seconds of silence, he added, “Regarding the divorce, you should give up. won’t agree.”
