Chapter 7
Jane leaned against the door frame, almost fainting from anger.
A small figure supported her, Jane opened her eyes and angrily pushed away, “Get lost, you little
bastard, who allowed you to come down!”
Karen was thrown directly to the ground and in an instant, her head was bleeding profusely.
No one would sympathize with her, in Jane’s eyes, she had already become an enemy.
She had blood all over her head, screaming and cursing at me, “It’s all your fault! Why did you make Brother Kevin not want me? I am Brother Kevin’s daughter, his own daughter!”
“I didn’t want you to be my sister–in–law, I didn’t want you to support me, you get out of my
house!”
I looked at her, and the last trace of guilt in my heart disappeared.
That sweet little girl, just like Kevin, was pretending.
Karen was not just an innocent little girl, she was very intelligent, so intelligent that it was even
scary.
As for swearing, it was probably Jane’s influence.
Speaking of which, although they are not related by blood, Kevin and Karen’s true personalities are indeed like father and daughter.
I calmly looked at her and said, “Karen, your misfortune was not caused by me, and in fact, I almost got deceived by your family.”
“I never said I would support you, it’s your family who has a thick skin.”
She also didn’t know if she understood or not, but she stopped speaking and just stared at me
fiercely.
Stacy pulled me along, she cursed with satisfaction, but more than venting, she was worried that I would be entangled with the Smith family again.
“Hurry, hurry, don’t waste time with them, the Smith family has gone crazy.”
After the storm had passed, I completely cut off contact with the Smith family.
Stacy helped me move, I changed my number, and all possible means of contact were cut off.

Kevin’s case went to trial quickly, and Stacy deliberately brought me along to observe.
I saw a disheveled Kevin, who had lost his former confidence and glory. When he was brought to the
defendant’s seat, his eyes were filled with despair.
He saw me, and at first he was stunned, but then a glimmer of hope ignited in his eyes.
It seems that his parents did not pass on the message.
I thought his expression was funny, so I laughed a little.
Stacy beside widened her eyes and cursed, “He wouldn’t think that you came to see him because you couldn’t get over him, right?”
I was really annoyed that I couldn’t scold him.
Stacy comforted me, “Just visit and give them a good scolding.”
The trial process was not long, the evidence was solid, and it was established that Kevin had injured someone. With the assessment of the severity of the injury by the ex–husband’s first love and the efforts of the legal team, Kevin was ultimately sentenced to three years.
Jane fainted on the spot and was carried out by someone.
