In the hospital corridor, the smell of disinfectant was pungent and cold.
Zachary stood at the door of the ward, looking through the glass window at the pale–faced Charles lying on the hospital bed
His fist clenched tightly, his nails deeply embedded in his palm, fresh blood seeping through the gaps between his fingers, but he seemed completely oblivious.
Charles slowly opened his eyes, his gaze falling upon Zachary, filled with disappointment and exhaustion.
His voice was hoarse and deep, as if he had exhausted all his strength, “Zachary, if you insist on being with Silvia, I will revoke your position as the head of the Aldrich Group and adopt a son from outside. You are no longer the heir of the Aldrich family.”
Zachary’s fist tightened even more, his knuckles turning white from the force. His gaze was time and calm, with no trace of hesitation in his voice as he said, “Dad, I would give up everything”
“Zachary, do you know what you are saying? You were the heir of the Aldrich family, the leader of the Aldrich Group! Are you willing to give up even the family’s responsibilities for a woman?”
“Dad, I know you are disappointed in me and I know you hate Siria. But, I have tried, and I really can’t let go of her. She is the person I have loved the most in my life, even though she has done those things, my heart is still occupied by her. I can give up the Aldrich Group, give up everything, but I can’t give up on her. I know we are both forgivable, rest assured, in the next life, I will go to hell with her.”
Charles’s eyes flickered with a hint of shock, followed by a deep disappointment. He closed his eyes, as if unwilling to look at Zachary again. “Let’s go, don’t let me see you again.”
Zachary did not speak anymore and turned around to leave the ward.
His back figure was lonely and determined, as if he had already prepared himself to face everything
As Zachary walked out of the hospital, he bumped into Rebecca
Her face was pale, filled with exhaustion and pain in her eyes.

“Rebecca, I’m sorry, it was over

Rebecca’s tears burst instantly, and she trembled as she said, “Actually I had framed Silvia many times before. Zachary’s pupils suddenly contracted, his fist clenched rightly, and his nails dug deep into his palm. His voice was hoarse and deep, “What did you say?”
Rebecca’s tears streamed down her cheeks as her voice carried a hint of despair. “Zachary, I let go. Go find her. You don’t have to apologize to me, the engagement is off, losing you is my punishment. I shouldn’t have coveted something that didn’t belong to me. After you’re with Silvia, please apologize to her on my behalf. I was blinded by obsession, repeatedly scheming against her just to have you. Zachary clenched his fist tighter, his knuckles turning white from the force. His gaze was icy and sharp, and there was a hint of suppressed anger in his tone as he said. “Rebecca, you….”
But in the end, he didn’t say anything and just turned around and left.
Everyone was a villain.
He was Silvia was, what qualifications did he have to condemn Rebecca.
Rebecca’s tears flowed even more fiercely, and she suddenly shouted, “Zachary, I would help take care of your father! You must be happy!”

Zachary’s eyebrows slightly furrowed, his tone tinged with impatience, “Stop tallding nonsense and go find it immediately.”
Trey fell silesh for a moment, his voice tinged with a hint of hesitation. “Mr. Aldrich, actually… Silvia has already passed away.”
Zachary’s heart sank suddenly, as if it was heavily pressed by something, making it difficult for him to breathe. His voice became hoarse and low, “What did you say?!
