As the doors of the banquet hall were pushed open, a glimmer of joy flashed in Gauge’s eyes, but quickly, that glimmer of joy was replaced by a chilling coldness.

She was wearing a gorgeous gown, with delicate makeup, but it couldn’t hide the sadness and anger on her face.
Her gaze fell directly on Gauge, and she walked towards him with firm steps.
Gauge’s face instantly darkened, and his tone turned as cold as ice. “Why did you come? Who allowed you to come? I didn’t send you an invitation.”
Sloane bit her lip, her voice trembling slightly, “I was your fiancée, and you were throwing a birthday party for another woman, and I couldn’t come?”
Gauge’s eyes were sharp, and there was a warning in his tone, “Sloane, don’t cause a scene here.”
Sloane, however, seemed to not hear his words, her gaze sweeping over every corner of the banquet hall, her voice growing louder.
Look at this banquet hall, these flowers are Juliet roses, the most expensive variety in the world. You must have spent at least twenty million on them, right? And the carpet under your feet, it’s a hand–woven carpet from Wellston, costing ten million for just one. And these chandeliers, these oil paintings, just for this banquet, you have spent several billion on her! Not to mention the countless priceless gifts you have prepared!
Her voice was filled with resentment and anger, as if she wanted to vent all her grievances. Gauge’s expression became increasingly unpleasant, and the surrounding guests began to whisper, creating an awkward atmosphere.
Seeing the situation, the group of brothers quickly stepped forward to mediate.
Someone grabbed Sloane’s arm and whispered, “Princess, haven’t we already made it clear to you? Gauge is with Jovany only because she is Kamren’s sister. You know Kamren, right? Her gaze stared straight at Gauge, as if trying to see through his soul through his eyes.
Gauge, however, remained silent, his eyes as cold as ice, as if her questioning had nothing to do
with him.
The brothers became anxious and someone nudged Gauge, “Gauge, say something! Don’t make a big scene!”
Just as long as you say you don’t like it, you can ask this Buddha to leave. Hurry up and say it.
Gauge, didn’t you say it before? Hurry up and say it again, and tell her one more time.
Gauge, however, remained silent and just coldly stared at Sloane.
Sloane’s tears swirled in her eyes, her voice filled with despair. “Fine, I don’t care about any of this anymore. I don’t care about revenge or not. I just want you to break up with her immediately, be with me, and marry me!”
She began to tell the story of how she liked him, her voice choked with emotion. “Do you know how many years I have liked you? The first time I saw you was also in a banquet hall like this.”
