Chapter 7
When she woke up again, she found herself lying on the bed in the villa.
A piercing howl could be heard coming from the living room. She struggled to get out of bed and opened a crack in the door, just in time to see Gauge standing in the center of the living room, with the group of beggars lying at his feet.
Gauge held a knife in his hand, his voice as cold as ice, “Which hand did you touch her with?”
The beggar was so scared that he trembled all over and dared not speak.
Gauge sneered, “That means both hands were touched.”
He finished speaking, raised his hand and the knife fell, the tip of the knife fiercely pierced into the beggar’s palm.
The beggar let out a scream of agony, and in an instant, the floor was stained red with blood.
The following people were so scared that they were terrified, and they all shouted, “It was the left hand! It was the right hand!”
Without any hesitation, Gauge swiftly and decisively disabled their hands, one by one.
The brothers stood on the side, looking at him with complex expressions. “Gauge, was it necessary? Didn’t you also agree to Sloane’s plan back then?”
Yeah, Sloane pretended to sprain her ankle so that you could take her to the hospital, giving you a valid reason to leave. Then we made up an excuse to leave as well. Shortly after, a group of beggars came and attacked Jovany, who was alone in the dance hall at that time. There was no one else in the dance hall, so she was left helpless, calling out to the heavens and the earth for help. Kamren, who dotes on her little sister the most, would be devastated to find out that she was violated by a group of beggars. That’s why you suddenly changed your mind and rushed back in a panic, almost killing these beggars? It’s been so many years since you’ve been so bloodthirsty, it’s insane.
Upon hearing this, Jovany felt as if his whole body couldn’t hold up any longer and almost collapsed.
She never expected that those beggars were actually part of their plan.
No wonder Sloane and her brothers were whispering to each other at that time, and the brothers were whispering to Gauge as well…
Gauge remained silent and simply coldly watched as the group of beggars was dragged away.
A group of brothers looked at me, I looked at them, and our faces instantly became even more
unpleasant.
Finally, someone couldn’t help but ask, “Gauge, you don’t actually like Jovany, do you? If you
forgot, let me remind you, she is your archenemy’s sister! You and Kamren have been fighting for so many years, if you really like her sister, you will be…”
Gauge’s face instantly turned ugly, and he kicked the coffee table over with a sudden force, his voice filled with suppressed anger.
I didn’t lik
like it! I wanted to like Kamren’s sister, I would have cut off my head and kicked it to him as a ball! Is that enough? Go, all of you, just go! Don’t fucking bother me these days!
After driving away a group of people, Gauge stood by the French window and lit a cigarette.
Amidst the swirling smoke, his expression appeared particularly gloomy.
He took a deep breath, the smoke circled in his lungs, and was slowly exhaled.
His mind was in chaos, with the constant image of Jovany being pinned down by that group of
beggars. Her despair, her pain, like a knife, stabbed deeply into his heart.
He didn’t understand his feelings towards Jovany. Clearly, when he initially approached her, it was
only for the purpose of seeking revenge on Kamren.
But why did he go crazy and want to kill someone when he saw her being treated like that?
She shouldn’t have been like that.
Every time she lay beneath him, she was obedient and soft, her eyes filled with love, like a gentle
little cat.
But that day, there was only fear and despair in her eyes.
He dared not think too much, only feeling his heart tightening with anxiety.
Halfway through smoking, he suddenly remembered that Jovany didn’t like the smell of smoke. He
furrowed his brow and extinguished the cigarette in the ashtray.
He turned and walked towards the bedroom, his steps light, afraid of waking her up.
Jovany heard his footsteps and quickly closed his eyes, holding back tears and pretending to be
asleep.
Her heart was beating fast, her fingers tightly gripping the blanket, afraid of being discovered by him pretending to be asleep.
Gauge stood by the bed, lowered his head and looked at her for a while, gently stroked her head, and
then turned and left the room.

In the following days, Gauge did not go to the company again and almost every day revolved around
Jovany.
He lavishly spent a fortune to buy a lot of jewelry. Every morning, he would give her a bouquet of flowers, and even personally cooked for her..
Jovany looked at the table filled with gifts, but there was no joy in his heart.
She knew that he was trying to make her happy, but her heart had already turned as cold as ice.
No one mentioned that day, but everyone knew Jovany was unhappy.
Her smile became less and less, and her eyes grew more and more numb.
Gauge couldn’t help it anymore and, after a dinner one evening, he held her in his arms, his voice hoarse. “Baby, it’s my fault. I didn’t protect you, I forgot about that day, okay? You can ask me to do anything.”
Jovany lifted his head and looked into his deep eyes, softly asking, “Anything is possible?”
Gauge nodded, “Anything is possible.”
Jovany remained silent for a moment and finally spoke, “I wanted to know your phone password.”
