Gauge ignored her and just looked down at Jovany, his voice unusually gentle, “Be good, wait for me in the car. I’ll take care of things here and come right away.
Jovany didn’t say anything, allowing him to help himself up and walk towards the door step by step.
Her mind was blank, with a buzzing sound in her ears, until she sat in the car and gradually came
back to her senses.
Not long after, Gauge’s group of bro
came out first.
One of them walked up to the car and knocked on the window.

Jovany remained silent and simply gazed ahead, saying nothing. “I understand, Gauge. Let’s drive.”
Gauge glanced at her, hesitated to speak, but ultimately started the car.
The atmosphere inside the car was so stifling that it made it hard to breathe. Jovany closed his eyes,
his mind in complete chaos.
Suddenly, a piercing screech of brakes was heard.
Jovany suddenly opened his eyes and only saw a truck coming towards him.
Her pupils suddenly contracted, and the next second, Gauge pounced on her, holding her tightly in his arms.
Bang!
With a loud bang, the whole world spun around.

Jovany fainted in a pool of blood.
When she woke up again, she found herself lying on a hospital bed, with the bright overhead light above her head causing a sharp pain in her eyes.
Gauge sat by the bed, pale–faced, eyes filled with ecstasy. “Jova, you finally woke up, you scared me to death.”
Jovany moved his lips and his voice was hoarse, “How badly are you injured?”
Gauge rubbed her hair and said in a relaxed tone, “Just a broken bone, no big deal. It’s my fault for not taking care of you properly.”
He finished speaking and quickly stood up, “You lie down and don’t move, I’ll go call the doctor to
examine you.”
After he left, Jovany’s phone suddenly vibrated.
She picked it up and realized it was a video sent by Sloane.
And the scene, it was exactly the scene inside the café not long ago.
In the coffee shop, a group of brothers were explaining excitedly.
