After getting to know him better, Vivienne was surprise to discover that she and Dante had quite a few similar interests.
Dante also enjoyed going to concerts. Back in college, he had minored in violin, but after taking over the company, he had gradually set it aside.
Although he wasn’t deeply skilled in violin, he had many unique insights about music, which Vivienne found incredibly enlightening.
Previously, in order to help her, Dante had deliberately called her “Vivi” in front of Edmund.
After becoming friends, he was used to calling her that, so it didn’t sound odd.
Vivienne gave a faint smile. “Lillian thinks she covered all her tracks perfectly, but in reality, her flaws are everywhere. Today, I’ll let the whole world see her true face.”
To be honest, ever since Lillian appeared, Vivienne had suffered plenty because of her.
She truly despised Lillian, but she had never thought about entirely ruining her.
After all, when a man cheated, the vast majority of the time, it was his fault.
It takes two to tango, so there was no reason to put all the blame on the mistress.
If she couldn’t keep a man’s heart, that was her failure.
If it wasn’t Lillian today, it might be Lily or Lana tomorrow.
In the past, Lillian had only played small tricks. But lately, what she had done had truly crossed Vivienne’s bottom line.
A scumbag man and a shameless woman deserved to go to hell together.
Dante raised an eyebrow. “But if you really release this video, your life in the Harrington family might become very difficult.”
That was true. The Harrington family didn’t just consist of Edmund. There was also his mother and his sister.
“It doesn’t matter,” Vivienne said calmly. “There is no future for me and Edmund.”
Her scandal had been trending online for days, yet not a single member of the Harrington family had spoken up for her.
She had no reason to care about their reputation.
From now on, she would never compromise herself for people who weren’t worth it.
Dante’s thin lips curved into a barely noticeable smile, but he didn’t say anything else.

Seeing that it was almost time, Vivienne exchanged a quick word with Dante before stepping onto the
stage.
She hadn’t released the video carlier because she had been afraid Edmund would find out and suppress it before it could spread.
That wasn’t the outcome she wanted.
Now, with the live broadcast airing across multiple media platforms, even if Edmund wanted to bury the truth, he probably wouldn’t be able to.
There were still thirty minutes left until the press conference–began.
Edmund sat gracefully in his office chair, gazing calmly at the live feed on his screen.
At that moment, a sudden knock sounded at the office door.
Henry, walked in with an odd expression. “Mr. Harrington, I just received some important news and need to report it to you.”

Edmund’s eyes shifted slightly as he glanced at him. “What is it?”
Henry’s lips moved, as if he had trouble speaking. A thin layer of cold sweat formed on his forehead.
“Ms. Everest’s purpose for this press conference is not to apologize, but to play a video.”
“What video?”
“It’s a video from the crash scene.” Henry hesitated, his words faltering. “Mr. Harrington, you should take a
look.”
As he spoke, Henry handed Edmund the tablet in his hands.
Edmund took it and saw that the video less than a minute long.
He tapped play.

His eyes instantly filled with shock, and a flicker of disbelief crossed his gaze.
Second by second, the video played.
When it ended, the office plunged into dead silence.
The footage clearly recorded how the crash had happened.
Vivienne had not suddenly run out and collided with Lillian.
Instead, Lillian had deliberately crashed into Vivienne.
Lillian had lied.
Which meant that the so–called witness testimonies were lies as well.

Henry spoke softly. “Mr. Harrington, in thirty minutes, Ms. Everest will release this video to the public. What do you think we should do?”
If this video got out, Lillian’s reputation would be utterly destroyed.
Edmund remained silent for a long time before saying Swap out the video. Prepare the car. We’re heading to the press conference now.”
Henry’s heart trembled. He quickly responded and left in haste.
He had expected Edmund to protect Lillian.
However, he wasn’t prepared for Edmund to act with such ruthlessness, addressing the issue at its core by completely replacing the video.
And this was a live broadcast in front of a global audience!
Vivienne’s attempt to clear her name was understandable.
But if the video was swapped, she would have to bear this accusation for the rest of her life.
Of course, if Vivienne released the video, Lillian would face the same fate, perhaps even worse, gaining the label of a homewrecker.
And in today’s society, a homewrecker was publicly despised.
Henry sighed quietly.
Between Vivienne and Lillian, Edmund still chose to protect Lillian.
The press conference began on time, and Vivienne took the stage.
Camera flashes went off wildly, nearly blinding everyone present.
Vivienne scanned the reporters and media below and raised her voice. “Before taking questions, I’d like to show everyone a video.”
The lights in the room dimmed, and the screen in front of her lit up.
Puzzled, the audience turned their gaze to the screen, eager to discover what Vivienne had planned.
However, after waiting for a while, the screen remained completely white. Nothing appeared.
A murmur of confusion spread through the hall.
“What’s going on? Wasn’t she going to show a video? Where is it?”
“What is Vivienne trying to pull? Is she just seeking attention?”

“I thought there was going to be a big revelation, but after all that buildup, there’s nothing?”
“What the hell? Is she just stalling for time?”
The crowd grew restless, snapping more photos of Vivienne.
Meanwhile, the live–stream chat exploded with viewers mocking her.
Vivienne frowned slightly, confused about what had gone wrong.
Just then, a backstage staff member hurried to her and whispered a few words.
“Ms. Everest, the video was swapped out at some point..”

Vivienne froze for a second, then immediately realized who was behind it. A flicker of anger flashed in her
eyes.
Her lips curled into a cold, chilling smile.
“No problem. I have plenty of backups. I’ve got a copy in my cloud storage right now. Or I don’t even need to project it. I can just play it directly in front of everyone.”
Technology was advanced these days. Even if the audience was far away, cameras could zoom in and capture the entire scene clearly.
Did Edmund really think that swapping the video would stop me? Dream on!
Just then, a commotion erupted at the entrance.
Someone suddenly shouted, “Edmund is here!”
Instantly, all eyes turned toward the doorway.
