Adeline frowned, feeling that Mariah was very noisy.

Brent’s eyes clearly showed distrust, but seeing Mariah’s pale face, he couldn’t continue lecturing and hastily picked her up before leaving.
Adeline did not go to the hospital but instead went home alone. When Brent came back, it was already very late. When he looked at her, his face rarely turned cold, but he still patiently persuaded
her to give in.
“Mariah was severely burned, you need to go apologize to her.”
But she stubbornly shook her head, repeating the same sentence, “I didn’t splash her, and I won’t
apologize.”
Brent furrowed his brow and couldn’t help but utter a few accusations.

She realized that he wanted to take her directly to the hospital to apologize, but she hadn’t done anything wrong, so why should she apologize?
She struggled hard, trying to shake off his grip on her hand. Amid her struggle, Brent let go hand, but due to inertia, Adeline fell straight backward.
