I glanced at the message again and looked at the time, it was almost 8pm, and I could feel my anxiety kicking in,

She ignored me and all I could see was the wide smile on her face as she got up from the couch. She put down the ice cream and stood up, giving me a big hug. “He better treat you right,” she said grinning

I pushed her away softly. “You’re already tired of me.” She said playfully as she went bark in her Ice cream. I smiled and headed towards the door, not as was about to walk out of the room, see called out.

I locked the door behind me and took a deep breath, resting my head on the wall. I didn’t know what to expect and I hadn’t made any plans of how I would react if things went out of hand.
I reached out and touched my head as the car moved. I still hadn’t recovered from the fall back at the apartment, and it seemed like the more nervous I was, the more uncomfortable the feeling in that area was
“Are you okay?” Derrick asked me, while still keeping his eyes on the road
I turned to him, and then faced the road. “I won’t lie, Jam nervous” I said softly.
I was expecting him to smile, but he did not. Instead there was a serious expression in his face. “We’ll get there soon, and maybe you’ll be more comfortable then. He said calmly.
“I am comfortable 1 Bed.
“I know” He said as he took his eyes away from the road and looked at me
I nodded, not entirely satisfied at his reaction. I was expecting him to say that he was nervous as well, but his response wasn’t bad, maybe I was just overthinking or expecting too much. He was obviously a werewolf and I couldn’t rule out the fact that maybe he could read my mind, because he seemed to respond to things no one he would.

I smiled, unable to say anything, only able to respond with the same warm smile. Derrick walked towards us and smiled at the man who greeted him with some son of fondness.

Derrick smiled and tapped him on the shoulder, “it’s good to see you. Martin”
He gestured for us to go inside and as I attempted in move, I felt Derrick’s hand slip into mine. I shook for a second, feeling a rush of nerves. His touch was warm and after a while. I relaxed into it
We walked into a huge hall that seemed to take almost all of the space in the building. There was a long table somewhere in the corner and the rest of the hall was slightly darker
The tables were already set up with foods and drinks. The servant bowed again. “If you need anything, sir. Fin just a bell away!”

Derrick nodded, and we watched as he walked off, leaving us alone. I looked around and my eyes fell on the uble again and I heard my stomach grumble. I hadn’t realized how hungry I vas.
The hall seemed empty, it was obviously a high class restaurant and I was wondering why we were the only ones here.
Just then I fch his hand on mine again. “It’s just us here tonight,” he said softly, as though he was reading my mind, bought the place specifically
for us
My eyes widened, but I tried not to look surprised. “That’s great” I said, smiling wryly
He smiled and nodded. “I wanted it to be special. For you to feel comfortable and enjoy yourself without any feeling like someone’s staring over your shoulder.”
I turned to him and smiled again, it seemed like that was the only thing I could do. Even though his gesture was mind–blowing, somewhere inside of me. I still felt uncomfortable.
