Her voice echoed through the hallways, and soon, several students rushed out of their classrooms.
But Wendel only tightened his grip, his eyes wild with desperation. “Come home with me, Iris! Come home with me!”

Seeing her stand up for another man made Wendel bum with jealousy. Without warning, he swung his fist and punched Cleve square in the face.
“You son of a bitch!” he roared. “You dare seduce my sister? I’ll beat you to death! I’ll skin you alive!”
Like a man possessed, he rained punches down on Clevel
Screams erupted from the crowd.
Someone ran to call the teachers, and soon, the police were alerted as well.
By the time the officers arrived, Cleve was already lying on the ground, battered and motionless, But Wendel wasn’t done–he kicked him hard in the ribs. “This is what you get for messing with my sister! You’re lucky I didn’t kill you!“!!
Iris stared at Wendel, unable to hear anything anymore–not even the howling wind. Just when life was starting to get better, he had come back to ruin it all.

Within moments, Wendel was handcuffed and shoved into the police car.
Iris snapped back to reality, and realized Cleve had already been carried to the hospital by several classmates.
Ignoring the judgmental stares around her, she jumped onto her bicycle and pedaled frantically to the hospital There, the doctor’s words hit her like a hammer
“The injuries are severe. We need to begin treatment immediately. The hospital fees won’t be small.”
Iris had no other choice. She pulled out her phone and called her parents, explaining everything that had happened. To her relief, they didn’t scold her
