Chapter 10
Larry looked at Trevor for a long time and finally nodded before turning around and leaving. Just
then, he bumped into Hannah, who was standing at the door.
“Mrs. Pownall.”
Larry quickly called out to Hannah, which caught Trevor’s attention.
Trevor’s expression changed slightly as he picked up the blanket from the back of the chair and
walked towards Hannah.
“How did you wake up? Are you cold? Did the child not disturb you?”
Trevor draped a blanket over Hannah’s shoulders and held her hands to keep her warm.
Hannah smiled, but her words were filled with worry. “I couldn’t sleep when you were away, so I thought I’d come and see you.”
“I just overheard you talking to Larry about Alisha, how did she go abroad? Is it because of me…?”
In the end, Hannah’s eyes welled up with tears, and she lowered her head in self–blame
Terrified, Trevor quickly embraced Hannah and bent down to kiss the top of her head.
“How could it be because of you that she, a little child, threw a tantrum? You don’t need to pay
attention to her.”
But Hannah was still uneasy, she grabbed Trevor’s sleeve and looked up into his eyes.
“But after all, she was entrusted to you by the Calderon family. What if something happened?”
Trevor rubbed Hannah’s moist eyes and his tone grew colder. “It’s good that something happened,
it will serve as a lesson for her.”
“So that she wouldn’t run around all day.”
Hannah didn’t expect Trevor to be so indifferent to Alisha, her pride couldn’t hold back anymore.
She quickly lowered her head and leaned against Trevor’s chest, a sinister smile spreading across
her lips.
Alisha, you had better never come back.
Trevor said he didn’t care, but secretly he was sending people to search for Alisha’s whereabouts.
Every time he asked if he had found the person, the answer remained the same.

In the first week, Trevor’s answer remained the same.
In the first month, Trevor’s answer remained the same.
After Larry cautiously finished speaking, Trevor’s body stiffened as he sat in the office chair.
It was a long time before he waved his hand to let Larry go on with his search.
After Larry closed the door, Trevor wearily leaned back in his chair.
He stretched out his hand and helplessly pinched his forehead.
He used to naively think that Alisha going abroad was just her way of getting back at him for marrying Hannah.
Even after all this time, Alisha’s whereabouts remained elusive to him.
In a daze, he suddenly remembered a long time ago when Alisha repeatedly told him in front of
himself that she didn’t like him.
Even when Alisha and Erica said they wanted to stay far away from him, he suddenly rer vered everything.
At that time, Trevor felt that Alisha loved him so much that she would never go abroad and leave
him, so he didn’t take her words as a deliberate tease.
Nowadays, only Trevor didn’t take Alisha’s words seriously.
Trevor put down his hand and looked towards the corner of the desk, where there should have been a photo of him and Alisha.
Ever since Alisha confessed her feelings to him, he threw that group photo into the trash and replaced it with his wedding photo with Hannah.
Trevor looked around and saw that this office used to be filled with Alisha’s presence.
Now, however, they have all disappeared just like she has.
Trevor stared at the corner for a while and finally picked up his phone to call Frankie.
Alisha was taken care of by Frankie on behalf of Trevor. Now that Alisha is in trouble, Trevor feels that he should take responsibility.
After the phone call, Trevor still hadn’t spoken the words he had prepared.
The phone suddenly transmitted a cold female voice. “I’m sorry, the phone you dialed has been

turned off…”
“Buzz!”
Trevor’s mind went blank in an instant, feeling a rapid surge of uneasiness spreading from the depths of his heart!
He held the phone in his hand, which remained stiff for a while before he let it go.
Trevor and Frankie, although they were an unlikely pair, had always had a good relationship.
How could it be?
How could he have been blocked?
Trevor thought for a long time but couldn’t come up with a reason.
Just then, the departed Larry suddenly returned, with a big box in his arms.
“Mr. Pownall, there is a delivery for you. The person who delivered it said that you must open it personally.”
Trevor was taken aback and looked at the box for a long time before finally allowing Larry to place it
on the table in front of him.
He looked at the box in front of him, and as he reached out and touched the rope, his heart suddenly started beating intensely.
He always felt that if he opened this box, he would be plunged into an endless abyss.
Trevor hesitated for a moment, then he loosened his tightly clenched hand and slowly untied the rope on the box.
In the moment he saw what was inside, he suddenly widened his eyes!
