Chapter 8
A week later, the wedding between the Pownall family and the Geary family took place as scheduled.
Because Hannah was pregnant, the wedding ceremony was kept simple.
Although the process was shortened, the level of luxury at the wedding still amazed the attending
guests.
Before the guests entered, the waiters would present each person with a gift worth hundreds of
thousands.
In addition, everything that the guests saw when they took their seats was custom–made.
The Juliet roses in full bloom throughout the field were specially planted by Trevor for Hannah ten
years ago.
The ceiling was filled with diamond crystals, which Trevor specially designed and customized for
Hannah.
Even the plates in front of the guests were specially custom–made according to Hannah’s preferences.
Every aspect of the wedding reflected Trevor’s deep love for Hannah.
The guests not only exclaimed, but their words were filled with envy.
“Mr. Pownall and Ms. Geary had such a good relationship, I heard they were childhood
sweethearts.”
“Isn’t that right? I heard that Mr. Pownall had sacrificed half of his life to save Ms. Geary.”
“If I could marry someone like Mr. Pownall, my life would have been worth it…”

No matter how much the guests discussed Trevor and Hannah’s love, Trevor didn’t care.
He was staring at the phone in his hand, his eyes filled with hesitation.
Calculating the time, Alisha arrived at the hotel last night.
But from last night until now, he didn’t receive a single call from Alisha, let alone her text
messages.
After all, she was the person entrusted by Frankie to take care of Alisha before he went abroad. If anything happened to Alisha, he wouldn’t be able to explain it to Frankie.
Thinking about it, Trevor still sent Alisha a text message. “How are you now?”

The moment the text message was sent, the wedding planner came knocking on his door.
“Mr. Pownall, the wedding is about to start, you can go down now and get ready for the entrance.”
Trevor quickly placed his phone on the table beside him and said, “I’ll be right there.”
Just as Trevor was closing the door, his phone, which he had not yet turned off, suddenly lit up for a
moment.
A bright red exclamation mark appeared in front of the text message he sent on his phone.
With the melodious piano sound, Trevor stood at the end of the flower corridor, his eyes filled with
deep affection, watching Hannah, dressed in a white veil, walking towards him.
She carried a long train of her dress and walked towards herself step by step.
It should have been an exciting moment, but Trevor’s inner state was unusually calm.
As Hannah walked towards him, carrying her skirt step by step, he somehow couldn’t help but see
Alisha’s shadow in front of him.
She was also wearing a pure white wedding dress, walking towards him with joyful steps, looking at
him with love in her eyes, and sweetly calling his name.
“Trevor.”
“Trevor.”
The figure that appeared in front suddenly overlapped with the approaching Hannah. Hannah
waved her hand at him and called out his name with concern.
“Trevor, what happened to you?”
Trevor finally came to his senses and instinctively shook his head, pushing Alisha’s figure out of
his mind.
He showed a gentle smile and said, “It’s nothing, you looked beautiful today.”
Hannah blushed quietly when Trevor casually uttered sweet words.
Soon, the emcee instructed the newlyweds to hold each other’s hands tightly.
Afterwards, the emcee began to recite the vows and asked Trevor if he was willing to marry the
person in front of him.
It should have been an answer without hesitation, but Trevor suddenly fell silent for a moment.
His gaze fell from Hannah’s expectant face in front of him to the faces of the guests below, who were equally expectant.

Finally, he shifted his gaze to the empty doorway.
Long ago, Alisha had threatened that if one day he dared to marry another woman, she would definitely go and steal the wedding.
Trevor knew she was not joking, so today he specifically sent many bodyguards to guard the door.
To prevent Alisha from eloping.
But now, more than half of the wedding has passed, and the girl who said she would steal the wedding still hasn’t shown up.
Although it was a good thing, Trevor couldn’t be happy at all.
Could it be that Alisha really doesn’t like him anymore, as she said herself?
