Chapter 13
After coming back from the hospital, Sergio seemed like he had lost his soul.
The servant was tidying up the things left by Sylvia, and only then did he finally regain consciousness.
“Let go, who allowed you to touch her things!”
The servant remained silent as a cicada in winter, immediately putting the things back in their original places.
“It was Ms. Bolton who called, saying that Ms. Campbell had passed away. She mentioned that it is inauspicious to keep belongings of the deceased at home, which is why she asked us to tidy up”
Sergio’s cold gaze swept past like a life
“She didn’t have the authority to make decisions in this household
From now on, without my orders, no one is allowed to touch Sylvia’s belongings, understood?”
The crowd nodded, and the servant Clara sighed, rubbing her eyes as she packed up her things.
“Ms. Campbell, in your next life, you should love yourself well and stop giving yourself to unworthy people.”
Sergio glanced at her, his eyes turning slightly cold
This servant seemed to have something to say
He remembered that she used to have a good relationship with Sylvia and often spoke up for her
If it were a normal day, she would have been kicked out long ago it she dared to defy me like this.
But now, she was the only person who had any connection with Sylvia, and he couldn’t bear to let go.
“You tell me, how did she sacrifice for someone who wasn’t worth it.”
Clara was slightly startled and took a while to realize that Sergio was talking to
to her.
She sighed and thought about how everyone had died now. She couldn’t bear not speaking up for her anymore
So he plucked up the courage and spoke up.
“Sir, not to say anything about you, but you really missed out on a great woman.”
Scring his
calm expression, as it he had no anger, she gathered up her courage and continued speaking
“Sir, I have been in this household for quite a few years now, and if I may be so bold, I have also witnessed you grow up.”
“I have seen many women by
men by your side ever
the years, but none of them, like Ms. Campbell, were like her.”
“Others approached you either for your status or your appearance, they were not sincere. Only Ms. Campbell, she wanted nothing and truly loved you.”
Sergio furrowed his brow and motioned for her to continue,
Understanding his gesture, Clara continued speaking,
together and having feelings for her. But as an outsider, I have to say that she
“I know that you had a close relationship with Ms. Bolton, growing up together really wasn’t as good as Ms. Campbell.”
“We all know how you got through that period when she left you to go abroad.”
“Whenever she truly cares about you, she must not leave when you need her the most.”

“At that time, it was Ms. Campbell who had been by your side, and it was her who helped you come our
“I remember, in the past, you used to get drunk often. No matter how late it was, she would go and bring you back, and then take care of you all night.”
“Every time you got drunk, you would make a fuss and insist on going to Creanda to Find Ms. Bolton. You would also smash the room into a mess, sometimes even hurting people. None of us servants dared to take care of you, except for Ms. Campbell who was not afraid.”
“Actually, she was not afraid at all, she just didn’t want to make you feel uncomfortable.”
“Think about it, during these days, was there anything she didn’t do that you asked her to do?”
“You said you wanted to have handmade pastries for breakfast, and she got up early in the morning to make them. You said the flowers in the yard looked

“I, as an outsider, was moved just by watching, I wonder what you were thinking”
“Ah, she’s not here anymore. Whatever
er I say now, it’s useless.”
“I just felt sorry for her and thought she was pitiful.”
